How To Build A 6 Step Automated Email Marketing Machine

What is the most predictable and consistent sales getting strategy that you can use to grow your business from ZERO to 6 figures, 6 – 8 figures and BEYOND?

It’s email marketing.

Forget about all the hype you hear about social media.

Social media has its own place but when it comes to producing consistent results (sales) day in and day out, month in and month out, year in and year out….emails are the real deal.

A properly constructed & well maintained Email Marketing Machine can transform your business faster than anything else out there.

What makes it even more awesome is that once you build it, nobody can take it away from you. It is TRULY your own asset because you will always have absolute and full control of it.

I have been able to build 5 different multi-million dollar businesses in just 6 years because of my ability to build POWERFUL Email Marketing Machines from scratch.

I have sold information products, live events, masterminds, traffic services, funnel services, coaching, consulting…you name it, I have done it.

What I can tell you is that it really doesn’t matter what product, service or program you are promoting. If you know how to build your own Email Marketing Machine, you can take your business to great heights.

And in this post, I am going to teach you how to build your own machine in a step by step manner.

Let’s get started…

Step 1 – Choose A High Quality Lead Magnet To Build Your List

If you want to do email marketing, you need to build a list of highly interested subscribers.

And to do that, you need to have a good lead magnet (a piece of valuable content that you give away in exchange for an email address).

Here’s how you go about it:

  1. Decide the primary product that you are going to be promoting.
  2. Create a valuable piece of content (article, video, checklist or short report) around the topic.

For example, if I am promoting my Solo Ads Agency service, I would create a short report where I would talk about “The 5 Steps To Generate High Quality Leads From Solo Ads”.

The purpose of creating a lead magnet is not just to get optins but to also pre-sell people into purchasing your product or service.

So in my lead magnet (Solo Ads Report), I would give people a quick look at the 5 steps they need to implement to get good quality leads from solo ads.

Then at the end of report, I would offer them an opportunity where I would tell them “if you want to skip all of these steps and directly generate 1000s of high quality leads at the push of a button, then check out Solo Ads Agency where we do all the hard work for you”.

Do you see how it works now? You give value and at the end of it, you make an offer to those who want to get results in a simpler, easier and faster way.

So start off by creating a good lead magnet.

You don’t need to create some 100 page ebook or a 5 hour video. In fact, such lead magnets are counter productive for your results.

You just need something which can deliver value and can be consumed quickly.

So creating a short report or checklist or short video would be the best option.

Step 2 – Build A Killer Lead Capture Page To Give Away Your Lead Magnet

A lead capture page is where you offer your lead magnet in exchange for an email address.

Here’s an example of a high converting lead capture page:


Now if you don’t know how to build lead capture pages, don’t worry.

You don’t need to have any tech skills to build them.


In fact, I talked alot about creating lead capture pages in my last post which you can go back and check it out here.

There are several tools that you can use to create high converting lead capture pages in minutes.

The two most popular ones are Leadpages & Clickfunnels.

Using their point & click interface, you can create pages (& entire funnels) in minutes.

There is also another option called OptimizePress which is highly recommended. You need to install it in your site to be able to use it.

All these services have tutorials to help you get up and running fast. Check them out.

Step 3 – Create Your Follow Up Sequence

Once you have created your lead magnet and have your lead capture page up and running, the next step is to create a sequence of emails to build a strong relationship with your subscribers and sell your product.

Now don’t make this one common mistake that most marketers do.

The job of follow up emails is NOT to just get people to click on your links.

It’s NOT to ram your product down the throats of your prospects in a desperate way.

The job of follow up emails is three fold:

One, to provide value to your subscribers.

Two, to entertain your subscribers (trust me, this is a BIGGIE).

Three, to effectively sell your product.

So let me elaborate all of them:

  1. Provide Value

You need to write emails where you talk about your subscribers’ problems, fears, deep desires, how your product can help them, why your product is best suited for them, etc.

When you send out such emails, people will ENJOY reading them and look forward to your subsequent emails.

You don’t have to give away all your secrets or write some long form “how to” emails.

In fact, if you send heavy duty content emails every day, people are likely to find it overwhelming and stop consuming them.

So keep it simple.

  1. Provide Entertainment

If your emails are no fun to read, they won’t be read and your sales will be down.

Today, we are living in an era where people can literally get gazillion pages of information with a simple search.

What that means is that people don’t want mere information.

They want entertainment mixed in with information.

So provide it to them.

Tell them stories (tie it up with your marketing).

Give interesting tidbits about your product.

Use their dreams, desires, pain points, etc to make a dramatic point.

Write in an easy to read conversation tone.

When you do that, people will love your emails and buy from you.

  1. Sell Your Product

You don’t get paid until you ask for the sale.

You would be shocked to know how many marketers are afraid of doing this. They would do everything except ask for the sale in a bold way.

Don’t make that mistake.

If you have a product that is GENUINELY VALUABLE to your prospects, then its your moral obligation to boldly ask for the sale so that your prospects can buy from you and solve their problems.

So in every email that you send out….provide value, keep it entertaining and at the end of it, ask for the sale.

Focus on a different angle in every email and lead to your product.

Do it consistently and you will soon notice sales flowing in (assuming you have a product that people want to buy).

Now a lot of people ask me “how many follow up emails should I have?”

Well, there is no hard and fast rule.

Ideally you need to have at least 30-90 days of follow up email content in your list.

If you don’t have such a sequence, then don’t worry. You can slowly start adding one email a day to your follow up list.

If you have multiple products, you can create a 7-10 day follow up sequence for each product and load it up in your list.

So this way, your subscribers will get emails promoting Product A for 7-10 days…then get emails promoting Product B for 7-10 days….and so on and so forth.

If you structure your emails in an entertaining and educational way, you can make a lot of product sales over the course of time.

Step 4 – Create Your Buyer Sequence

Once someone purchases a product, that doesn’t mean your job is over.

In fact, this is where it all starts.

As they rightly say…getting a new customer is HARD but selling to an existing customer is easy.

When someone buys a product from you, they are likely to purchase your other products too.

Maybe they might purchase them right away or they might do it down the road.

That’s why you need to have a buyer email sequence.

The goal of this sequence is to

  1. Reinforce the idea that your buyers have taken the right decision in purchasing your product (which you can do by sending out welcome emails, access instructions, tips, etc).
  2. Provide value & build a deeper connection with your buyers so that they would be inclined to purchase your backend products (this is where the REAL PROFITS lie)

So create a buyer sequence.

Take care of this list. Nurture it.

This is literally your GOLDMINE.

Your existing buyers are far more likely to buy from you again so give them all the reasons in the world to do just that.

Step 5 – Retargeting Sequence

Retargeting is the process of marketing to people who have already visited your site.

This is an untapped goldmine that most marketers don’t utilize.

Every single visitor who comes to your site is NOT worth the same value.

A person who is ALMOST about to buy your product is worth way more than someone who just has a mild passing interest in your product.

Now the surest way to increase your sales is by using retargeting to connect and engage with your hyper responsive visitors (basically those who are most likely to buy your product).

You can retarget people who visit SPECIFIC pages of your website and market to them separately.

How do you retarget people?

There are several networks that allow you to run retargeting campaigns but one of the easiest ways to get started is through Facebook Ads.

Facebook gives you a pixel that you need to paste on every page that you want to retarget and when someone lands on that page, you can simply show relevant Facebook Ads to them.

Here are a few examples of how you can use Facebook Ads for retargeting:

  1. You can retarget people who landed on your order form but didn’t make a purchase. You can offer them discounts & bonuses and get them to sign up to your new list. Once they sign up, you can send them follow up sequences where you overcome various buyer objections and get them to buy.
  2. You can retarget your buyers and get them to sign up to different lists and send them follow up sequences for different products. This will help you increase your average customer value. Your buyers are most likely to buy from you again so retargeting them can produce some crazy ROIs.
  3. You can retarget people who landed on your capture page but didn’t opt in. You can offer them a different lead magnet and get them to sign up to your list.

The possibilities are endless.

Retargeting when done correctly can create a massive bump in sales.

Step 6 – Plan Your Daily Broadcasts

The previous 5 steps are enough to help you get going and making consistent sales but when you add this 6th step, you can really take your business to the next level.

When you make it a habit to send out at least 1 brand new email to your ENTIRE LIST every single day, you will see some pretty amazing things happen.

Here’s why:

An average follow up email will be read by just 1/10th or 1/50th of your total subscribers on any given day.

Why? Because different subscribers will be at different stages in a follow up sequence.

However a broadcast email sent to your entire list will reach 100% of your total subscribers in one shot.

This means, more people will open your email and consume it.

With broadcast emails, you will quickly know which angles work and which don’t.

If you hit on a JACKPOT ANGLE, you will see a flurry of sales flowing in and you can incorporate that angle in your marketing campaigns.

If there is a news event that has everyone talking about it, you can write an email about it and tap into that buzz. This will sky rocket your engagement and sales.

You can talk about your daily events, share your latest stories and get people to bond with your better (people can intuitively sense when an email is being sent live and when its just a follow up email – that’s why live broadcast emails produce amazing results).

In simple words:

Broadcast emails help you get data faster, build relationships faster, make sales faster and boost up your profits like nothing else can.

I heavily use daily live broadcast emails in my business and each email I write is worth atleast $10,000 – $20,000 for me.

That’s the power of broadcast emails.

This is the weapon which allowed me to go from nothing to making $15 million online in just 6 years.

It has worked not only for me but also for my students & clients.

So I would highly encourage you to start using broadcast emails.

Be consistent and you will see massive results.

Here’s one more thing:

A lot of people think that to do well with email marketing, you need to be creative and a good writer.

Nothing is further from the truth.

What you really need is ACTION & PRACTICE.

The more you do, the better you will get.

And once you start writing regular emails, you will find it incredibly fun.

After all, there is nothing more exciting than spending 10 or 20 or 30 minutes a day to craft a fun email and making a flurry of sales.
