For a website to reach a hundred thousand visitors is a fantastic milestone for any webmaster, hitting a million visitors is another level, but hitting one BILLION views per DAY is phenomenal. YouTube has announced on there official blog that they are serving “well over a billion views a day”, now if you were to break that down that is over 11,000 views per second, over 690,000 views per minute and over 41,000,000 views per hour. Now for any webmaster you would be happy to be getting 11,000 view per day let alone per second.

A lot of people were unsure if Google made a good business move when they brought YouTube for 1.65 billion dollars. That may be true in a monetary sense (I highly doubt that they have made that back yet), but YouTube itself is the second largest search engine (Google being the first). The brand that is associated with YouTube is amazing, so the income is certainly going to come.
